Centre Arqueològic de l’Almoina: The site was discovered in 1985 with remains of the Moorish, Visigothic, and Roman periods. The city decided to convert the site into an underground museum that can be visited by the general public.
Fine Arts Museum: Established in a 17th century palace, this museum houses over 2,000 pieces of art with a special focus on the 14th and 17th century. The museum displays some works by Velázquez, El Greco, and Goya.
National Ceramic Museum: As mentioned, this museum is now established in the emblematic Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas.
Valencia’s History Museum: Housed in a former reservoir, this well-designed museum is dedicated to the developmental history of the city, from the Roman era until the present. Constructed in 1850, the building is interesting in its own right as an excellent example of 19th century industrial architecture.
